Lorenzo takes the Championship lead from Marquez

Lorenzo Winning the French GP at Le Mans
Heading around to the Place which hosts one of the most prestigious races of all time The 24 Hours of  Le Mans, this time it was MotoGP which was hosting it's Round five of the 2016 World Championship and like always it was 28 laps of pure wheel-to-wheel racing.

The Master of Le mans dominating all of his Rivals

All the MotoGP fans who follow their respective riders know that if it's about leading a Grand Prix from start to Finish then there's only one rider who handles it better than the rest and that's the reigning World Champion Jorge Lorenzo.

This time it wasn't about just Winning rather it was about by how much he's gonna win as his race pace was unquestionable and others were struggling with the brakes as for the first time this season, all the riders who finished the Grand Prix scored points because only Thirteen riders were able to make it to the chequered flag which means that even the lapped riders were awarded points.

So Combining this the difference between Rossi who was the the next best to Lorenzo, was a massive 10 seconds which gives quite a glimpse of the raw performance that Lorenzo possesses.

Marquez lost control of his Bike on Lap 13

Marquez Struggling with POOR acceleration

Believe it or not, this year's RC213V has got some serious downside in terms of the Horsepower as it cannot our-drag the Faster bikes like the Yamaha on the straights and getting within a striking distance of the most powerful bike, the Ducati Desmosedici GP16 is nearly Impossible unless you have got braking performance of an Formula One car on a MotoGP bike which is also Impossible and all this explains us why Marquez crashed out of the French Grand Prix as he was pushing too hard to catch the GP16 of Andrea Dovizioso which made him apply extra efforts on the braking and eventually he lost control and went off which is fairly understandable but he could've backed off as it could've given him more points than what he got.

Rossi makes his way from 10th to 2nd

Rossi Charges his way past the Mid-Field

Valentino Rossi who started way back in 7th had a lot of work to do on the opening laps as he was passed by both the Tech3 Yamaha's which was all due to his Horrible start but all of it started to go his way when a lot of riders Including the one's between him and Lorenzo(Marquez,Dovizioso,Iannone) were crashed which gave him a bit of breathing space and a good second place which was the best he could've done as catching Lorenzo was very Unlikely.

All this makes the Top 3 riders on a level playing field as all of them has had a crash till now and the Championship standings is also on a close level led by Lorenzo with Marquez and Rossi behind him which means that the Championship is far from over and anything can happen in the next race which is at Mugello in Italy.

Who's gonna win In Italy as it's a very close call coz it's a track where Lorenzo excels whereas it's Rossi's home Grand Prix which means he'll have to give everything in front of his home crowd but let's not forget that Marquez will not let it slip away so easily as he's pushing every time no matter what the situation is which is why he's one of the members of the ALIEN group featuring Lorenzo,Rossi,Pedrosa and Marquez

Rosberg Shines in Sochi

This weekend we arrive on to round four of the 2016 Formula One season in Sochi for the Russian Grand Prix and like always everyone was hoping for an Exciting race and we all got one as Mclaren-Honda scored their Double points finish and Fernando Alonso came 6th but it's Nico Rosberg who's been dominating everyone and at the moment he's looking unstoppable.

Nico Rosberg who's been trying to Win a world championship since three years and for the past 2 year he's been loosing to Hamilton just because he didn't have the raw pace and sheer aggressiveness to match Hamilton's form but this time it's all changed as the new Rosberg looks calm, determined and consistent as he's won all of the opening races this season and in doing so he wrote a new chapter in the History books by Winning Seven consecutive Grand Prix's and now sharing it with the Great Michael Schumacher who also did the same 12 years back.

Now all that's pretty Impressive and for Rosberg it's even more impressive coz nobody would've thought that a guy who lost twice in a row against Hamilton would be able to raise his game like this ? but sometimes some people learn from their downfall's just like the way Rosberg did as after loosing his title bid for the Second time, he's not been looking backwards as he didn't lost to Hamilton even once after the United States Grand Prix as he thought that "It's been more than Once and now twice ? now I need to show everyone what can I do" and he's certainly showed everyone what his true capabilities are and till now he has not even put a foot wrong and grabbed every Opportunity he got which is a quality of a Champion.
Russian President Vladimir Putin Presenting the Trophy to Nico Rosberg
Now if we have a closeer look at the Russian Grand Prix, we get some interesting stuff at the first lap as there was some touching, hitting and eventually crashing(thanks to Daniil Kvyat) and in all that Lewis Hamilton was gifted 4-5 places as drivers like Ricciardo,Vettel and Kvyat had their Not-so-best moments which left Hamilton in 4th place and to be honest the only car he had to overtake was the Williams of Vallteri Bottas as Kimi Raikkonen's Ferrari didn't have the pace and Felipe Massa made some Mistakes and then by lap 15 Hamilton was already in Second place and if he pushed a little bit more he would've challenged Rosberg but as always Rosberg was also sandbagging his laptimes and by the time Hamilton was cutting a second per lap, the leader was just lifting and coasting and in the closing stages Rosberg opened up the gap to a massive 25 seconds which is almost a Pit-stop ahead.

Lewis Hamilton on the other hand said after the race that he could've won easily if he didn't have those problems but as usual these are the words coming from him every time he looses to Rosberg which is bad news for his title charge as he now sits 43 points behind the Championship Leader.
There were brutal reversal of fortunes for Sebastian Vettel who was hit again by the person he called "Madman" at the Chinese GP and this time the worst part was that Vettel was hit twice by Daniil Kvyat who touched the rear of Vettel on the first corner then Crashed into him on the high speed Curve after turn one which ended Ferrari's chances of scoring a Double-Podium finish as it was evident that if Sebastian had that car running well, he would've been ahead of Lewis Hamilton.

The Other part of Ferrari Garage was quite happy as they atleast had a Podium Finish and Kimi Raikkonen took a solid Third and if we look at the ending part of the race closely, we get some awesome laps from the "Ice-man" Kimi Raikkonen as he was closing on to Lewis Hamilton in the closing stages which shows that Ferrari's are low on tyre degradation and if Vettel didn't had that Collision, he would've made it to 2nd place.

Meanwhile where Hamilton was fighting for 2nd place, it was Fernando Alonso who scored a brilliant 6th after recording his first points of the season considering the fact that his Mclaren is not even a Mid-field car and he started way back at P14 which is quite a good news for Mclaren as Jenson Button also scored his first points which clearly shows that Mclaren has improved Quite a lot and now they can consider on improving their race pace as the reliability has Improved Significantly.

Analyzing all the points,it looks that Rosberg's on Fire as he acheived first ever Grand Slam which means that the Driver has to Score Pole Position, lead every lap, set the fastest lap and the Win the race.
That reminds us of Vettel in his Red Bull days when he used to dominate everyone and now his German Compatriot is doing that as he's got all the tools at his disposal that'll help him in winning his Maiden World Chamionship and he's ready for it as well.

Six in a row for Rosberg

Formula one bounces back this Weekend as we all had one hell of a race to Watch, courtesy of the Mid-field Drama and Wheel-to-wheel action which all led to this Amazing Chinese Grand Prix.

Speaking of the race which was not only won but dominated by Rosberg as winning might be a small word for the person who controlled and Won by more than 30 Seconds ahead of the second placed man, Sebastian Vettel with Daniil Kvyat in a brilliant third after being involved in the first corner incident which created a war of words between Vettel and him in the Conference room.

Let's analyze the Start which was quite a bit of Shock as for the First time Daniel Ricciardo got the lead at the first corner and kept ahead until lap 2 before suffering a left-rear puncture which helped Rosberg in blitzing past him and then Controlling the race where as in the mean time when Ricciardo was jumping Rosberg at the start, there was a small  battle going on between the Red cars(Ferrari's) which led to a Collision as Daniil Kvyat got really opportunistic by boxing in between which resulted in Vettel bumping into his Team-mate.

At the back of the Field where Lewis Hamilton started, he was surely not having the best time of his career as after quite a decent start, he had to run back into the Pits to get a new front wing as starting from the back has its own weird and unwanted perks.

With almost all the top drivers loosing some part or the other of their cars courtesy to the first lap Drama, they all went into the Pits to get a replacement and in the meantime Rosberg was having a pretty comfortable lead as he was just cruising through the track with no one in the front as the only cars he had to overtake were the cars that were a lap behind him.

Driver of the day : Sebastian Vettel for Sure as after the first lap which resulted in a Collision with his team mate, he had pretty much a lot of things to do and there was a time when Vettel was on the super-soft tyres and he had to slice his way from 15th and he wrestled back and came back to 4th in a matter of Four laps which is More than Impressive as a lot of great drivers have Struggled in the past to do that which is a big slap on the faces of the people(Mostly Hamilton fans) that Vettel cannot overtake because that's not the case.

Looser of the day : Lewis Hamilton, unquestionably as after the start he had some contact with Felipe Nasr which took off his front wing and after the safety car he was constantly being rattled by Kimi Raikkonen and a lot of other Drivers and the World Champion was Quite not able to do a lot of things as other drivers like Raikkonen,Vettel and eve Ricciardo who had a lot of Misfortunes, produced a lot of Ballsy moves to get back in their Positions.
So all the People who say Lewis is the best, they need to re think as a lot of great drivers like Vettel,Ricciardo,Raikkonen are also at the same level but they are never given any Appreciation which is a shame.

Conclusion : Rosberg is in the Form of his life with Vettel Proving that he can Challenge the Mighty Merc's and Hamilton accepting that for the first time in his Career, Luck is not on his side.

Change of Fortunes for Hamilton

The reigning World Champion Lewis Hamilton hasn't had the best of moments for Quite a few races now as starting from the race where he Won his 3rd Title, he has been consistently beaten by Rosberg and despite taking pole position in the first 2 races of the season, Hamilton was being overtaken by Rosberg right from the start as the German made some Brilliant off the line launches which always led to Hamilton fighting with the Ferrari's or Williams and it didn't quite go the way Hamilton wanted as both the times he got overtaken by almost 4-5 cars and then it took him 10 laps to get into a Podium scoring position.

This Weekend in China where Hamilton has been strong and another pole would've added some extra Motivation considering the first two races but this time the Fortunes started to taking a U-turn before the race even Started as Hamilton got hit by a 5-Place Grid penalty for changing the Gearbox which means that no matter what Position he scores, he'll be five places down the grid.

Now Hamilton who has been trailing Rosberg for the last 5 races in a row and hoping to score a win as Rosberg won the last 3 races of the 2015 Season and the first 2 of 2016 which makes him the Man to beat at China and a lot of People might not be knowing that Rosberg won his First ever race at the 2012 Chinese GP form Pole Position and was able to Dominate the race from his Current team-mate Lewis Hamilton who was at Mclaren then, by over 20 Seconds which Indicates that Winning now at the Chinese GP won't be a big Problem for Rosberg as he has learned how to Control a Race from Pole Position.

Analyzing all the possible Outcomes, it's very crucial for Hamilton's championship's hopes as he has been on the back foot since the Australian GP.

Will a Lorenzo-Ducati Partnership yield fruitful dividends ?

(From Right to Left)Lorenzo-Marquez-Rossi in 2015
The 2016 MotoGP has been quite Silly as all the drama that started last year involving the Rossi-Marquez clash which also roped Lorenzo in between too has been carried forward which led to a Cold-war between the Front-Runners in turn making everything boring and weird.

Since It has been announced that Lorenzo will be Signing a 2-year deal with Ducati as the Italian Marque offered Lorenzo an offer he couldn't refuse, and now all the attention is on that whether the newly formed partnership will yield dividends or not as Ducati hasn't been able to win a single race since 2010 when the Great Casey Stoner used to race the Desmosedeci and Score Podiums and Wins.

Now Lorenzo who'll be Riding the Red bike by which I mean the Ducati Desmosedici GP16 or whatever as they can name it GP16.2 like the way they did in 2015 which will be Interesting to see as Switching from the Blue leathers to Red and that too in a completely new environment will be Something we all wanted to see.

Ducati Corse, who's been chasing Lorenzo for 5 years now as in 2009 they even went on to say that he can be a replacement for Casey Stoner when Stoner was having some serious health issues but Lorenzo didn't show an overwhelming response opening the door wide open for Valentino Rossi who Joined his Home team and with all the Excitement and the Anticipation growing inside the paddock that "He'll bring Ducati to the front", "He's Developed Yamaha now he'll do the same with Ducati" and other Stuff, Rossi made a fool of himself for 2 consecutive years and then came back to Yamaha convincing everyone that Riding the
Desmosedici to the maximum is not everyone's cup of tea except one guy, Casey Stoner.

As a Ducati Rider, Jorge Lorenzo will be under an Immense pressure from everyone including himself and other riders as he could've stayed with Yamaha and won more titles which would've been easy for him as he's used to beat Rossi but now since he chose to go the hard way, it'll be crucial for him to Prove everyone that he can win taking the Ducati and he can even challenge for the World Championship.

Let's see what happens in 2017 as it'll see all the front runners(Lorenzo,Marquez,Rossi) on Different bikes for the first time since a long time ago which means complete freedom of banging wheels and shoulders as the other person is not your Team-mate anymore which will provide some serious entertainment no matter who wins or who looses.

For the time all we can do is say all the Best to Jorge Lorenzo who started his Career with Yamaha, now moving forward to Ducati as everyone has to leave their first teams some day or the other but nevertheless it's a part of Racing and teams don't decide your fate, it's the Rider who does everything.

5 Reasons why Lorenzo should move to Ducati

The 2016 MotoGP Season started with the reigning World Champion Lorenzo starting his title defense strongly with a Dominant win in Qatar but since then a lot has been going around in the paddock about where he wants to be in the Future as Rossi has signed a 2-year contract with Yamaha which means he's gonna stay where he is but Lorenzo is keeping quiet about this as he hasn't renewed his contract which indicates that he's been thinking about his further options.
So here are the main reasons that why Lorenzo's move to Ducati shall be good for MotoGP and for Ducati as well.

  1. He can Win with the Desmosedici Bike
Lorenzo vs Dovizioso at Qatar 2016

A lot of People in the Paddock knows Lorenzo's capability to produce maximum out of his bikes as he Overtook the Ducati's in Qatar which were way faster in a straight line than his bike but still he used his Extra-Ordinary skills and got past them.
Evauluating all this, Lorenzo surely can surely Dominate MotoGP with Ducati as the GP15 and GP16's are faster but the riders are not the best as we saw in Qatar.

  2. People will stop Questioning him
Every Rossi fan(most of them) doesn't particularly like Lorenzo coz he's been winning against Rossi fair and square since he got in MotoGP on the same machines so it's no Surprise that Rossi fans don't like Lorenzo as Rossi was a 7-Time World Champion when Lorenzo got into  MotoGP but since then things started to go differently for Rossi as Lorenzo who was a 20-year old Rookie produced identical results and sometimes even further than what People expected from him.
This time If Lorenzo goes to Ducati then it'll be the perfect answer to all the Anti-Lorenzo fans by which I mean Rossi fans that Lorenzo can do what Rossi never could, winning with Ducati.
  3. Ducati will once again be back to Glory
Casey Stoner won the World title for Ducati in 2007
Ducati surely is one of the best and the most forward thinking Motorcycle Manufacturer in the world and they have an Illustrious History in WSBK racing but when it comes to MotoGP, only one world championship in 2007 didn't quite add to an Impressive CV given the fact that their Bikes have been competitive but they didn't had the Best riders who could bring the most out of those Machines like the way Stoner did in 2007 Winning 10 races and taking the Championship.
So this time Lorenzo could create a completely new Environment with in the Team to help it in getting back at the Front just like the way Sebastian Vettel did with Ferrari in 2015.
  4. It'll be the Perfect Answer to Rossi
Valentino Rossi who has been Questioning that Lorenzo's Ducati move wouldn't be happening because "he needs balls to do that" and other negative stuff just because Rossi couldn't do anything with Ducati and given the fact that Rossi knows Lorenzo can win with Ducati, So by concluding all this, it'll be the Perfect answer to Rossi.

  5. He'll be Appreciated by the Italians
Ducati is an Italian Manufacturer and it's very Important that who is contributing in their Success as in the past a lot of Italian riders have ridden Ducati bikes and Failed Miserably but still they got appreciated as they were Italians and were getting Podiums taking an Italian bike which makes it even hard for the Italian fans not to Appreciate him as everyone knows that If Lorenzo wins with 2 bikes, it'll be the start of a new era as he'll be one of the few people who won with more than one Bike.

These were the few reasons why Lorenzo's Ducati move shall be Great for MotoGP as it'll provide all the best riders on Different bikes.

Two Question marks for Lorenzo

The MotoGP reigning world champion Jorge Lorenzo won the opening round of this year's MotoGP season in an Impressive yet Dominant fashion and it was no surprise that the World Champion is not gonna let anyone take his crown or even think about it but after the Argentinian GP things started to look quite different as the rider who was in a class of his own at Qatar got spun off after some laps in Argentina ?
Maybe its due to the new tyre change as Michelin withdrew both of its rear tyres in the wake of Improving safety as the tyre compounds were not proving to be the most reliable following Scott Redding's scary crash in Practice which led to this huge Re-Shuffling of the tyres which proved to be the most Unusual decisions in racing as the riders were given different compounds for Practice and Pole and suddenly they were not provided with the Same compound for the rear tyre in the race.
Following all this, everyone started scratching their head as no one was aware of which Bike or Rider will get the most out of these new tyres as in MotoGP every Rider has its own choice of Tyre compounds for Front as well as Rear and the Performance out of the tyres completely depends on the feel the Rider gets from them as it's not Formula one where a driver gets same tyres for all the 4-wheels and even if a Driver doesn't get the amount of feedback he expects, he can still push hard enough to Score some Positions but on the other hand in MotoGP, its simply the opposite  because when you start to push limits on a car you go wide whereas when yo start to push limits on a Bike, You simply crash and thats the main reason racing in MotoGP is considered as more Intense and Ballsy.
Coming to the Next race in America at COTA which is not considered as Lorenzo's territory instead it's Marquez who's been really strong there every year which leaves us all wondering
What will Lorenzo do to get back on Top of the Standings ? as this is very crucial for his World Championship charge.

Can Vettel Challenge the Merc's this Time ?

Vettel Blasting past both the Merc's and taking the Lead

The Start of Formula one 2016 has been Great as all of the Petrol heads were expecting the Silver Arrows to Just dominate the Australian Grand Prix and take the Win but it didn't go that way as One man fought hard all the way and gave them a real run for the money and that Man was none other than the Great 4-Time World Champion Sebastian Vettel.
As Hamilton took pole at the Australian GP and Merc's Locked the Front row as usual, Everyone expected them to just leave everyone in the dust but all it went Opposite as Vettel got a Brilliant Start and overtook both the Merc's at the start and lead all the way until the race was red flagged the reason being Fernando Alonso's Horrific crash which could've taken his life but thankfully that crash lost against Alonso as nothing happened to him.
Starting the race again Vettel led all the way again until Ferrari with their usual Strategy which doesn't work when the Drivers are in a Race Winning position and due to which Vettel dropped back to third and then Merc's were Handed a non-deserving 1-2 Finish and Rosberg Won from Hamilton which was well deserved.
Vettel is known for controlling the race from the Start
Coming on the Next round in Bahrain where Vettel thought he could challenge Hamilton and Rosberg for the Win and he had the pace to do that but this time he was let down due to a major reliability issue as his car broke down on the formation lap and due to which he had to retire which was a shame as he could've got a Brilliant start the way he got in Australia and then control the race but sometimes "It doesn't rain but it pours" as for the Second time Vettel couldn't get into striking distance to challenge the front-runners and the weirdest part is that it was not him that was slow but it was the Car and the Team that were not able to Handle the Intensity and Pressure which led to their change of fortunes.

Next we have the Chinese GP where Vettel is strong as we all saw him Fighting with Hamilton for 3rd place by cutting out 14 seconds in an Unbelievable 4 laps to finish just 2-tenths behind Hamilton at the 2013 Chinese Grand Prix.
All this is more than enough to judge Vettel's capabilities but will he be able to beat the Merc's as everyone is unaware of what Ferrari are gonna do next but all we can say is that Vettel is a man on a Mission and that is to break the Unwanted Dominance of Mercedes.
We hope he does that in the coming few races as everyone wants a massive Dog-fight for the Championship rather than just a Two-Horse race where there are only Two horses who are racing between each other.

Rosberg Finally upped his Game

Mercedes Superstar Nico Rosberg, the man who Finished runner up to Lewis Hamilton in 2014 and 2015 Formula one seasons didn't quite challenge or rattle Hamilton the way everyone wanted him to as Hamilton is known for his aggressive driving style whereas Rosberg is a pretty fast yet smoother driver of the two.
The first time Lewis Won his 2nd Title(2014), Nico was unable to fight as he had a car failure at the Final Race which led to his retirement and handed Hamilton the World title which was well deserved and from that Point onwards everyone started assuming that he's gonna be second fiddle to Lewis In every single Grand prix as Lewis walked away with another title at the US Grand Prix in 2015 and  that was the time Rosberg realized what he needs to do in order to break Hamilton's Winning streak.
Hamilton vs Rosberg at the 2014 Bahrain gp

As he showed everyone what he's been hiding in the bag for so long which is his new Dominating form as he's won each and every Grand Prix since Hamilton won his Championship which makes it 5 in a row for Rosberg and considering the Start of 2016, Rosberg has won both of the two races without even taking the pole position because previously everyone used to question his ability to Overtake Hamilton in the races as all the races he won were either from Pole position or any other factor and sometimes he was not even able to convert his poles into wins so by Judging all that, its an Amazing new Start for Rosberg.
We cannot completely say that all of this new form is just Rosberg's pace as Hamilton also had his own faults like Slow gateways or Bad starts off the line and lack of pace coz in the Australian Gp he was trailing Max Verstappen for like 7-8 laps and still wasn't able to overtake until Max went into the Pits for a tyre change.
Not enough Conclusions can be drawn at the moment but all we know is that Nico Rosberg is bouncing back and this time with an Extraordinary Race craft which we all wanted him to Improve on.

Tuesday 1 March 2016

Vamos! Fernando

As we head towards the First day of the Pre-season Part-II, a lot of us were Expecting the Merc's to be Super-dominant given the fact that they have the Most powerful Engine and the Most Advanced Ergonomics thanks to the 3-year Head start they had while getting prepared for 2014 which is yielding them Super gains now.
As the Merc's were quick on the First day with Rosberg taking the whole Paddock by storm by setting the lap in the morning which remained unbeaten all day but the pecking order for rest of the drivers kept on changing with Fernando Alonso being the Biggest surprise as he took P3 with a lap time which was only 1.2 seconds shy of the time posted by Rosberg, considering the fact that Alonso was over 3 seconds behind the Leading pack 4 days ago and another Surprise was the amount of laps he churned out of his Mclaren which were more than what Hamilton and Rosberg managed to do.
The lap count(79) was Impressive comparing it with Fernando's last Stint which was not even in the Double digits, Mclaren has made massive gains and we hope it gives Fernando the Performance that he needs to challenge others and as we all know that Alonso has the uncanny ability to extract the maximum out of an Under performing car which has been evident from 2010-13 where he had a Ferrari which was sometimes even slower than the Lotus but still he used to drag it to the front and challenge for the maximum points.
Let's Hope he gets more performance on the rest of the days so that can get some interesting stuff which is necessary at the moment.

Mercedes Sandbagging as always

This year's Pre-season testing has seen a lot of new faces and a lot of interesting things like the Haas F1 team, The Renault team and may more but the primary concern at the moment is the Performance of these teams in testing, in short the 4 days of Free-practice(yes it is ) and what a lot of people have learned is that now it's not about showing and flaunting their Strengths, it's about hiding what you have and then giving your opponents a mental blow by showing your true Strengths when the right time comes.
This kind of Clever thinking is being approached by the Silver-Arrows(Mercedes-Benz) at the moment and the Prancing horses(Ferrari) are somewhat copying them which leaves 2 questions marks for them and they are that

  • What are your true times ?
  • Why are you guys Sandbagging ?
So after all this Hide-n-seek game, the main concern is about the "Big elephant in the house" and that's Mercedes Dominance that has been there over the past 2 years and given the fact that it's so huge that no matter what other teams did, they were not able to get within striking distances to attack and sometimes the next best teams were 20+ seconds behind the Silver Arrows.
Sounds Impressive ? yes it is Indeed but it is more boring than Impressive and when Impressive<Boring, it means that things need to change which Implies that Someone needs to challenge The Silver-Arrows and at the Moment it's hard to Judge coz no one knows who's the fastest as the Pre-season testing has been like a Roller-Coaster ride where we get something new and shocking on every level.
Speaking about this 4-day Roller coaster ride, we saw

  • Mclaren getting some crucial laps on their Size-Zero F1 car (they call it that ) a.k.a Mp4-31
  • Haas F1 team getting more than 200 laps done which was way Impressive than what we thought as it were their first 4 days as an F1 team
  • Nico Hulkenberg(yes.....don't confuse him with Nico Rosberg) Topping the Time-sheets on Day-3 with the tie which was way faster than anyone else
  • Sebastian Vettel posting the Quickest times of the Entire Pre-season testing
All this shows a bag full of surprises as one hand Force India is so Quick, on the other hand Ferrari's are so quick and everyone is Impressing by their performances but where the hell is Mercedes in all this Drama ? Are they slow ? or are they hiding something in their bags. The other one seems more beleivable as we all know that they're not gonna be slow by any means but what we don't know is that How quick they'll be as compared to others ?
Well we'll get some of our answers tommorow as the second test will start.
Till then all we can do is pray to God for making the Mercedes-Benz slower and Mclaren-Honda faster(It'll be interesting).

Mclaren-Honda Improves after their worst Nightmare last year

Jenson Button Watching Kimi Raikkonen in his mirrors
The 2015 Formula one Season saw the Silver Arrows walking away with the Drivers and the Constructors championship Single-handedly  as their W06 was by far the most dominant car on the grid as it was fastest everywhere, be it in the straight line or around the high speed corners and all the credit goes to Mercedes for producing that Turbo Engine that produced around 850 Hp and from what ?  a mere 1.6 L V6 engine which is quite an achievement as it showed everyone how it's done by collecting 16 Wins,32 Podiums and 18 Pole positions in 2015 and most of the times Hamilton and Rosberg were 20+ seconds clear of the next best driver which was Sebastian Vettel for majority of the season.
Hamilton in the Ever Dominant Mercedes-Benz W06
But as the Mercedes had their best Season in their Entire racing history producing the most dominant car, on the other hand Mclaren had their worst Season in their Illustrious F1 history by having the most back-to-back retirements and by watching the entire field sweep away as they were at the back of the field most of the time as their car, the Mclaren Mp4-30 was not even able to finish the complete race distance 80% of the time due to which it was being compared to a GP2 car by Fernando Alonso (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1_it-KIp6k).

This made a lot of people wonder that Fernando Alonso made the biggest mistake of his life by going to Mclaren at a point where Ferrari were about to Improve and yet they improved Significantly as he didn't even score 10 points which was a shame because he couldn't do anything more than that as the car which he had was 200+ bhp down on power as compared to the competition and sometimes even more but after all this when 2015 ended and as of now we are having Pre-season testing, it is evident that Mclaren and Honda has worked really really hard over the Winter to convert that GP2 car into an F1 car as Jenson Button completed over 80 laps on day one and even more on the other days which is Impressive as last year at this point they managed a mere 7 laps which was Horrifying for all the Mclaren fans as well as for F1 fans in general but looking at the current times, it looks that now they can atleast do something and We're not expecting them to win instantly as it'll be a mere Exaggeration but we can predict some points and some podiums considering that they have the Best driver of this generation and the Most-Experienced driver Line-up of the entire F1 field.

Fernando Alonso in the Mp4-30

All this makes adds up to an Impressive recovery as the Team which was always at the back of the time sheets last year had the 5th best time in testing and that too with a lot of laps on their Engines which will prove to be the main factor in deciding the reliability of that Engine but as far as the pre-season testing has been passed, it looks that it is quite reliable considering the fact that it covered a lot of consecutive laps but as again if they are not able to recover points this year, it'll be a massive blow for their Future prospects as this car featured a lot of  new innovative engine-packing which is why this car is referred as the Size-zero Fomula one car due to it's tight engine packing and smaller turbo, all of which makes the car lighter and in turn faster.
Sounds complicated ? coz to me it did as I was wondering that who puts a smaller turbo in a car that was lacking power the whole time and knowing the fact that the turbo would give it a big boost in terms of Performance but as Honda is known for its racing DNA as they are so successful in MotoGP and in other racing categories, we beleive that they'll surely find a way to fix all these issues. This leads to the conclusion of this test and We have one big question that Is all this enough ? and are they really up for the upcoming 2016 season ?
Well we'll have to wait till the Second pre-season test to find out the second part of the story.

Casey Soner embarassing factory riders

The starting of the MotoGP testing 2016 saw a big surprise as the most-naturally talented MotoGP rider, Casey Stoner got on the Ducati GP16 bike but this time as a test rider which was of course the most shocking thing as the rider who can easily rattle Rossi,Marquez and Lorenzo is testing bikes for Ducati ? Yes but sadly it's the truth and  we all have to deal with it as Stoner made up his mind in 2012 to go to fishing instead of going racing as different people have not so usual opinions(sometimes weird) about a lot of things.
Everyone in the paddock must be laughing at the Ducati Factory team because even if we digest the fact that he's a test rider which is hard to believe but what we cannot  digest is that the lap times of Stoner around the Sepang Track during the Testing as they were faster than both the Ducati Factory riders(yes...you heard it right) which makes us think that why Stoner is not coming as a regular rider
as he's clearly shown that the bike has a lot of potential which is way more than what Andrea Dovizioso and Andrea Iannone are able to extract from the GP16.
Stoner in 2007
A situation like this is like having a $4000 guitar with strings of a $400 guitar as it won't play up to to the best level without them and that's the situation which is being faced by Ducati as Stoner is a serious competitor on that bike given that he didn't race for 3 long years and he has not tested any bike for the last 1 year, still he was able to go faster than the riders who were competing with the best last year and on some occasions they were able to be as fast as the best riders on that Ducati GP15.
All this brings us to only one Conclusion that Stoner can challenge the top riders if he comes as a regular rider in 2016 but in the mean time we can only ask that "Casey! Why you are not coming to racing instead of testing"

Auto Expo 2016 Brings the American Muscles to India

The Auto Expo 2016 held at Noida ExpoMart was full of surprises as it featured specially those Automobiles that are going to launch this year as previously the Concept cars used to be showcased and then after some years they were launched but this time all the manufacturers tried to throw away the old approach and adapt a fresh one and that's to showcase all the cars which are gong to launch this year so that the Petrol heads (Like me) could think about their new options instead of just sticking to the older available Models which offer no exclusivity as they are very common among
every buyer in India.
Now this is the American's turn to Shine as they brought a lot of Premium Models here which could topple the segment dominated by the Germans and by the British by which I mean the following as they produce cars that go from 40 lakhs to 1+ crores.
  • BMW,Mercedes,Audi
  • Porsche
  • Jaguar,Land Rover

The Chevrolet Camaro
which leaves no chance for any other manufacturer to survive as these Brands offer High performance and luxury as well but this time all this is going to change as the American's brought  their Ever-popular muscle cars which will hit the Indian roads this year which Includes the Legendary Ford-Mustang and the Classic Chevrolet-Camaro.
As both of these cars are High-Performance muscle cars which will be a big boost to the Indian Buyers now as these cars do not carry the extra burden of the custom duties and other taxes like they use to carry before as they are now officially going to Launch this year with very competitive prices so that they could go with the likes of the class leading Germans and British manufacturers.
One of the main highlights in these Cars is that they don't look like a regular Sportscar or a Sports Sedan which differentiates them from everyone else and as the name says, these Look muscular and everything about these cars is Huge, be it the Engine,Body,Power,Performance and that's the main reason they are called Muscle cars because of their extra Muscular Attitude and other Characteristics.
Camaro Looks more of a Sport car from the back
The Camaro look more of a sports car from the back
These cars also offer a decent amount of  ground clearance as it is one of the most negative factor in every Sports/Super car Launched in India as the Indian roads are not Quite Smooth everywhere and you need a car which offers good performance and good ride height to enjoy the performance and Ride Quality which the Ford and Chevrolet will Surely Possess as these are Muscle cars which can be driven daily without the fear of getting your car touched over every Speed-breaker or some other pothole.
Now the most Crucial factor which is going to decide the fate of these Cars is the Price as there are a lot of alternatives in this category and If the American's want to flaunt their Muscles then they'll have to arm wrestle with every one in order to Win.
Let's see what these Muscles do to the Indian buyers but one thing is for sure that the they'll surely Change the taste of Indian Buyers as now we'll be having a new category among the "Luxury,Hot hatch,Efficient,SUV,Sports Sedan" and that will be the "MUSCLE" category but till then one we can ask ourselves one question that Who'll win of these two ? Lets wait for these to come to India then it'll be decided when these titans will go Head-to-Head against each other.
All of you must have made their choices about which is the best and it happens as everyone has their own choices but My personal preference is the Mustang. Whats yours ?

Three-way shootout of the mid sized premium motorcycles

As we all know that the new breed of Indian Motorcyclists is now edging towards the "classes" instead of the "masses" which is now dominated by the KTM,Yamaha & Kawasaki.
These brands host a lot of characteristics and features which is lacking in the other Indian brands.
We are now talking about the 300-400cc range which is increasingly becoming the most popular Segment in the country as it is the best for people who want to upgrade from 200c and also for the one's who want to get a taste of beginner Sports-bikes before taking their hands on to the bigger ones.
The main characteristic is the performance which is ample and is surely unmatched as a lot of positive feedback has been received for all of these top-quality machines.
Rounding off the competition we get three bikes in this Segment which was started by the Kawasaki Ninja way back in 2010 but the Ninja was not able to replicate the huge success enjoyed by Kawasaki in other countries. On of the main reasons for this huge backlash was the price and old-school looks as the price was a hefty 3 lakhs or even more at that time which resulted in making the Honda CBR250r a worthy option as the latter was 1 lakh cheaper than the former.
Shouldn't we be talking about 2016 now ? Yes we are doing that but sometimes its better to get back in time to know which warrior was dominating and which one was on the back foot as it helps in determining that which one has made the maximum amount of gains.
Now For 2016 we have the
KTM hosts the RC and the Duke as both the bikes are on the same platform but different in overall ergonomics. Both the versions are available in 200cc and 390cc and KTM comes with abs as a standard option on the 390 versions. This manufacturer is very well known all around the world
KTM Duke
thanks to their iconic and extreme designs specially in the naked bikes category and its very successful in rallying all around the world as they're 2015 DAKAR rally champions and that is the reason all the KTM bikes hold a very strong "Ready to Race" image which is surely reflected in the Mini versions too.All of this is impressive as the racing DNA is there in all the KTM versions and there is even a plus point and that's the price, because Bajaj owns around 47% of the KTM and thats the reason this bike was brought to India as now its manufactured in India and that too at a very competitive price. The Duke 390 is priced around 1.90 lakhs(ex-showroom) and the RC 390 is around 2.15 lakhs(ex-showroom) which makes both of them great value for money as the price is much lesser for the bikes of this caliber and it is one
KTM RC

of the main reasons the KTM's are getting really popular among the bikers in this segment who want more performance but not at the cost of a Maruti Alto( lolz....but a basic Maruti is around Four lakhs). The 390 KTM range is hosting two bikes as one is meant for the normal commuting and some cruising where as the other one is meant for the people who want Sports-bike looks and fun at the price which is way less than that.It has got 43bhp which is way more than what people expect in this segment and considering the fact that this bike can Sprint from 0-60mph faster than the entry level Merc's and BMW's which cost around 35-40 lakhs(approx figures......just for instance)The RC is specifically built for the track as it's the same version which is used in the Moto3 and thus it is hugely successful on the track, infact it is the fastest bike in this segment if we take all of them around the track and compare them courtesy of its lightweight chassis and its Tourquey but Powerful Engine. All of this makes it a Solid competitor for this shootout.
Yamaha R3
The next one is the Brand that is widely recognized all over the world for manufacturing one of the fastest bikes of all time and competing in every aspect of motorcycle racing and if you guys seriously want to question that then please check the 2015 MotoGP season stats and then you'll know who were the champions.Yes you guys heard it right it is Yamaha which is one of the most successful teams in a Sport which is considered to be the Pinnacle of two-wheeled racing, MotoGP and like the
Yamaha R3 Boasting some MotoGP styled stripes.
all the Yamaha's which start from the YZF tag, this is called the R3. Now this Kid is the newest of all of the three which means that it'll be the most clever as Yamaha had plenty of time to look after what KTM and Kawasaki were doing in India so that they could learn from what mistakes were made by them and then make a Concrete plan to get in the front.Seems to be a good plan but did it work ? Well we cannot conclude this at the moment as everyone has not shown all of their true colors yet but in the mean time we should be lauding Yamaha for making the Prettiest bike in this Segment and the most Sensible one too. This bike produces 42bhp which is just one shy away from what the KTM Produces but the built quality of the Yamaha is way better than the KTM and it is the most mature bike here which has everything which a person would be needing at this point with no compromises. What ? did we just heard "No compromises" ? Well we have one but it's not a compromise actually, its the price which is around 1lakh more than the KTM.So if you want something good you have to pay for it, simple.

Now comes the final and the oldest dog around the block and that's the Kawasaki Ninja 300.After it's Predecessor, the Ninja 250r was declared as a Colossal flop in the Indian Motorcycle market due to its dated styling and hefty price tag, Kawasaki managed to bring another bike to India but will it fare better this time ? Lets see and Compare what this new dog has got and then we'll be able to figure that will it be able to give the new clever kids a run for their money. So right from the start the Ninja has been a very expensive bike and that's one of the main reasons it couldn't survive in the Indian market but as now it's got a fresh new styling and ergonomics, it still inherits that hefty price tag and this time the gap is wider than one would expect between the RC390 and the Ninja 300 and that's close to 1.5 lakhs.Yes its 1.5 lakhs and in all that you get a bigger fuel tank,a more mature and racy styling as compared to the unfinished looking KTM and you get high maintenance and less performance(Bitter truth :D ).This one has got 39 bhp which is 4 less than the RC and 3 less than the R3 and considering that the Ninja is the heaviest of all, it's no surprise that it's the slowest in terms of acceleration and handling as well.

This brings us to the Conclusion of this Shootout, on one hand we have the best value for money and that's the KTM but there's a lot of things that you'll be missing on it like the larger fuel tank as the KTM has only 10.5 litres where as the Kawasaki has a humongous 17 litres and you'll be missing on other aspects too like the the engine refinement as KTM is a single cylinder 373cc machine which is powerful but it's very low on mileage and refinement as well. The KTM misses out on ride quality and comfort as well and if you take the RC then it has one of the worst seats for the pillion and for the rider as well courtesy of its hard cushions which are not that comfortable when compared to the competition but considering all these it's still 1.5 lakhs cheaper than what you guys would be paying for the Ninja and R3 so guys look into your pockets and be biased( ground reality ).
The Kawasaki is one of the best looking bikes in this segment as it looks more like a Sports-bike and looks a bit bigger like the ZX-10r and it is the most efficient bike here as the engine is the smallest in displacement and it's a twin-cylinder unlike the KTM, so it has a better Mileage around the city as well the highway and has the best range thanks to its huge 17 litres fuel tank but it comes at a cost , and Yes the Big elephant in the house is the hefty price tag which is somewhere around 4 lakhs which is the price of a Maruti Alto 800 and that's a 4-seater, so if we talk about the price then Ninja is the last option as it's expensive to own and to run as well.
This brings us to the last and the newest bike in segment and that's the Yamaha R3.
The R3 is the most technically advanced bike here as it inherits the racing DNA of all Yamaha's which makes it the most neutral bike here which has the highest top speed, the best mid-range power and a great service network as well because the Yamaha has been here for a long time so unlike the Kawasaki and KTM, running this bike will not be a huge headache.
This brings us to the Final phase of this Shoot-out and it's time to decide which is the best option.
If one has a small pocket and wants more power then the KTM but at the cost of reliability, comfort, mileage, etc. so if we consider only performance then KTM is the best.
If one has a huge pocket and wouldn't shy away from spending more then Kawasaki as it's the complete package in every aspect but it comes at a huge price.
But what if someone want's a KTM and a Kawasaki both embedded into a single bike then it's the Yamaha R3 as it has got the best brakes, the most neutral chassis, the most refined motor and the built quality is the most superior and it looks Gorgeous so every time you open the throttle,it makes you feel like Valentino Rossi or Jorge Lorenzo, that's the feel of this bike. The Pricing is also the most Neutral as it's priced between the KTM and the Kawasaki and you won't feel scared while shedding your money while buying this bike as it is the best priced bike here ,yeah now every one will be posting angry comments saying that "what about the KTM ??" , "its 1.2 lakhs cheaper" ,etc. but remember guys that KTM is made in India by Bajaj that's the main reason its cheaper and it still misses out on built quality and other options.Considering this the R3 is a good buy considering that it is imported and has to go through a lot of "duties & taxes" to get into India which increases it's overall price but still it's a good value for money as you'll be getting everything that you'd expect in a bike of this caliber which makes the Yamaha R3 the winner here as Yamaha has finally understood what Yamaha fans in India were craving for and they've delivered a state of the art machine just like their first YZF model in India, the R15.
What do you think about which is the best one ?

New Enthusiastic Buyers want Power over Efficiency

The Indian Auto market has seen a huge rise over the years in all segments where the Brands are constantly launching the Machines which are capable of providing the customers with Impressive performance's as well as great fuel efficiency.
The old Brands are taking advantage of their Decades old reputation and on the other hand the Companies who didn't have the best fortunes over the last few years are reviving themselves with new products which are accompanied with stunning spec-sheets and eye-catchy looks.
The Punto Abarth takes its Punto Platform to next level
For Instance the fiat Punto Abarth which was launched in India as a Simple looking Italian car(Not for me but for the Maruti, Hyundai people) which had only 72-90bhp and was not that Impressive in performance as compared to the competition, now gets a fresh new look as well as a very strong power band. This new car is having a Rival and yes you got it right, its the Polo high-line which produces 105 bhp but if you want to really compare these two cars then I'm sorry you cannot because the Punto is miles-miles ahead of this car in terms of power as well in terms of Engine dynamics. The Punto produces a monstrous 150 bhp which is enough to propell this beast from 0-100km/hr in less than 9 seconds. Clearly this time its the Fiat's turn to shine as they've made a car which has got everything that the Fiat buyers were craving for the last 5-6 years. This one's gonna be hatchback that'll be providing the most amount of fun to the Indian buyers. These days the new breed of buyers especially the young buyers which are aware as well as smart, want something different, something which doesn't want to carry the huge burden of  "high fuel efficiency" as well as low maintenance. These new buyers want performance as well as handling so that they can extract all the horses that these cars are capable to providing at their disposal. These days the Buddh International Circuit is hosting track days for the people who want to takes their cars for a spin around this awesome circuit.
Now its time to talk about the next segment which is not an hatchback nor a sedan, its the SUV Segment and it also has some fresh looking cars which are trying to give each of them a run for their money. Lets see who succeeds.
The 2013 Toyota Fortuner
First of all, if we have a look at the Premium SUV market in India then only one SUV comes to our mind and that's the Fortuner as over the years this SUV has beaten every car in its segment and in exceptional cases some cars above its segment.
This Dominance was a combination of Muscular looks, refined engine, reliability and easy manouverability as all of this was not present in the previous leader, the Ford Endeavour.
The Ford Endeavour 2016

But now the tables have turned as Ford has launched a fresh new Endeavour for 2016 which offers great performance, handling, maneuverability as well as looks. Lets see if this one offers a close fight to the former.
